RP Rules
Sentence minimum
Please give people something to work off of and to feed from. A lot of people get turned off from replying to threads when people only post one or two lines. Keep your posts to at least 200 words. This really keeps the threads flowing and makes people interested in what they're doing.
Grammar
Please use proper grammar. There's nothing more annoying then trying to decipher bad grammar. Use a word processor program or something that can show you when you're making spelling errors. Posts don't have to be perfect, but they should be legible.
Abbreviations ('text form')
This somewhat falls into Grammar, but to reiterate, please don't post in 'texting formate'. Use proper english instead or 'k, c u there' or 'lol'. Shortcuts are annoying to read and really shouldn't be used in character. You can defiantly use this in the OOC areas or when plotting things out, but keep it to a minimum.
First and Third person action
All in character posts should be in a first or third person point of view.
For example: "I looked around the room, trying to hold my composure instead of lashing out into the scream that was secretly boiling within."
"Selena looked around the room, trying to hold her composure instead of lashing out into the scream that was secretly boiling within."
Though, when using dialogue you can use "I, we, we're" etc.
Plot things out with others
Things on sites are always more interesting when people put in the effort of plotting things out with others. This can include side plots with individuals, a bigger plot with multiple people, or anything else that you can think of. This usually gives something for your character to achieve and is awesome for making friends within this site.
All threads come to an end
It's obvious when a thread is dead or completed so please leave it as it is instead of attempting to drag it on. Its better to have a good ending rather then one that never seems to finish. Sometimes its hard to pull away but after a while its like you're pulling teeth and posts slowly become shorter and less creative.
Keep things real
Make your character as realistic as you can but keep things real while doing so. This is simple common sense; do what you think is in the realm of your character.
Don't just jump in
When there is a thread going on between other characters, don't just jump in. Make sure you message the participants and ask if you can join their thread. For all you know, the thread could be plot based and they may not need an unnecessary character joining in. Don't take offense to that, it's just how it is sometimes. If, after you message the participants and they say you can cut in, make sure you read all the posts previous to make sure you know what's going on and can keep in topic with what's in the thread.
